opinions of Boss monitors

Hello everyone... I'm a new addition to your excellent forum. I've just had a forced upgrade from a BR 864 (stolen) to a BR 1600CD. I hope they catch the perps so I can thank them for motivating the change. If I may, I have two questions. Can anyone offer any comments on the various models of the Boss self-powered monitors available... or any other type of monitor that may be compatible with the 1600? Also, can anyone offer any suggestions on what is available in an affordable outboard multiple headphone unit? It would be nice to have a separate volume control for each set of headphones.
