anyone think i should get an HHB Radius 50 or a fostex 3070? these seemed like good values.
also wondering which to get between presouns Digimax LT, M-Audio Octane, Focusrite Octopre. they are all 8 channel mic pres with ADAT lightpipe out. to be used with Digi 002 rack (hense the lightpipe)

You'd be better off with a bunch of RNC's in Funk Logic racks because all those compressors except the HHB suck.

HHB is a little known gem of a product line. Definately "prosumer" gear not up to the ultra-high end standards, but tons better than Presonus stuff.

Maybe look into a DBX 162 compressor or similar. DBX has a few older compressors that aren't too godawful pricey that many old-school pros are fond of.

Fletcher is also surrounded by absolute top of the line equipment. Yeah, HHB sucks compared to Manley, Empirical Labs, Pendulum, etc... but for the investment its pretty good.
