Using an US "made" MR8 in Europe, different output?!

I bought the MR 8 from the States...
What shall i do?

Can i buy a normal 12v adaptor and plug that into the MR 8 or do i need a damn power transformer??

In case i do, where could i get one online?

I'll appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks

All you need to do is go to the Fostex website and click on customer support. They sell the different power adaptors for different countries. I was given mine from a friend who bought in Singapore, which is 240 volt, 50 cycle power. I ordered the US voltage adaptor from their site, and it works fine. All the power transforming is done in the adaptor, so that's all you need to buy. You have to be careful using a regular power adaptor that you can buy at Radio Shack, because of polarity and what-not. It's always better to go to the company (in this case, Fostex), and order theirs. The AD-12A adaptor for the MR-8 is only about $26.00, so it's not going to break the bank, and will save you countless headaches later on.
