Michael Jackson VS Slim Shady

Michael Jackson is currently rallying support from fans and others for a campaign of condemnation against Eminem's video.

MJ and Gerraldo Rivera were just on Fox both calling the video racist and MJ says that it goes deeper than just the video... he says that Eminem has to be held accountable for continuously disrespecting the black community.

Personally I grew-up listening to MJ like everyone but I don't think his shit don't stink just because I like his music. He's a wierdo and to comedians like Shady that has value. Should he be exempt from being made fun of?... I think not.

I don't really even like shady but I think it is really shitty to lable him racist just because he makes-fun of MJ's wierd ass.

Shady isn't a racist. I'm not a huge, loyal fan, but I get a kick out of his music and think he's pretty creative in what he says. Celebs that are bizzare, and especially ones that do insane stuff (for example hanging children over balconies) are wide open to criticism and mockery. I don't really have anything against MJ either, I just think his behavior has contributed to how people perceive him. I've seen the new Shady vid - it's par for the course for him. I could see why MJ would be upset, but to launch a mega campaign against Shady?

Great timing for all the hoopla since MJ is set for trial in January (I believe).

Where was MJ during the Rodney King riots? Where was MJ when Amadou Diallo was victimized? Where was MJ when James Byrd was dragged to his death behind a pickup-truck in Texas? Where was MJ when an entire family of "law abiding" african-americans were charged with and sentenced for drug dealing with no evidence and no money to afford a private attorney? I didn't see him reaching out to help, or even making a public statement. Negroe please. As MJ wannabe JTimberlake would say "cry me a river".

Jacko is gonna be comedic target until he's dead or on his deathbed. Even then, the more ballsy comedian will still gun him down.

Talking Your being unfair

You all seem to be forgetting that national anti rascism classic "if your thinkin of bein my baby it dont matter if your black or white..."

Heard they was all singing that in the LA Rodney King riots... He even got the Home Alone kid to wear his cap backwards and pretend to rap on the video. How 'street' is that?

i love michael's music, but he's totally playing the race card. he doesn't exactly represent the median of his race/culture so i don't know how eminem is attacking black people in general.

however, i'm not defending eminem. that dude is so talented, and his music could be so much better. but he feels like he needs the shock value to sell records, so he attacks celebrities. britney spears, nsync, jackson, etc... c'mon, em- leave the michael jackson jokes to saturday night live and grow up.
