Exclamation DJL's SP B1 Thread - Looky here!

I think that people should be encouraged that they can make pro recordings with only SP mics.

Also, I want to talk about un-mic matters ... is this the place to do it? Or can I only do that if my name is Harvey?

(That should draw the flames from the other thread )

Because, actually, I was enjoying Harvey's thread. I don't give a damn if it's about mics or not, everyone on HR.com knows the mic forum is also where a few of the most all-round knowledgable types gather, and he's earned the friggin right to have a thread about whatever, and certainly when other people are enjoying it.

I am making a semi-serious and semi-joking point that actually, yes, the thread was hi-jacked and, no, it's not ok to just talk about DJL or have him flaming it either.

This bullshit has to stop, I'm seriously getting sick of this place but there is nowhere that even begins to rival its base of users so I want to make the best of a bad job.

Over time, I think I've just come to accept that that is both it's blessing and it's curse.

Take the bad with the good and have fun with it. I'll bet no one ever though they'd hear that out of me, of all people.

Actually you can do pretty decent (I'm not saying pro, but it's good I think) with only SP mics...

Yup, every BBS is different. Some are moderated heavily. This one isn't and thus a lot of nonsensical bullshit flows through it. On the other hand, it also allows you to say whatever you want, however you want, to whomever you want. There IS beauty in the beast.

After the long dial-up download, my soundcard doesn't support 24 bit resolution.

Just wondering..... does the fact that DJL now has "Banned" under his name in his posts mean anything.....?

Well, it means one of two things... Either he's playing a joke on us by signing "BANNED" on his post, or he's gone like Elvis.

I'm not going to be doing the mix on it as I don't have much skillz there. In fact I don't have much skillz anywhere in recorded., but hey it is fun.

haha...yeah the double count.. he screwed up the first time and just went for it again...

John,

The vocal track sounds very clear and very nice. I am sure after it is mixed and mastered, it will sound very good. In fact, I would not mind mixing and mastering it myself.....

If I was a chick ... anyway. I've thought for a while now that 1K Hopeless Member was reasonably witty, but not so much as being banned. I'm going to save the recordingproject.com banned sign as my avatar. Ha!

I'd like to just point out that I made no comment on SP mics in this thread. I was winding up the FBS (fed bureau of spam) in the hope of luring him away from other threads. Never mind!

OK... I give up ;-(

How do you change the "title" just below your name, as you just did. Don't want to put in something witty -- just don't like the "newbie" thing after several years here, even if my post count is only around 40.

It's going to get really confusing if people can put "Banned" under their name when they are really not.

Per-
I think you have to have a certain number of post in order to gain access to that signature line. I forgot how many, though.
