studio monitor advice

I need advice on buying cheap monitors and a poweramp. I want a good sound but have only a small room to fill(10x10). Thanxalot.

My advice to you is, buy powered monitors. That means you don´t need an amp.
Which ones? Well that depends on how much money you want to spend.

The consesus here awhile back was to go with Event 20/20 or Tannoy Reveals. Call music stores in your area and see what they have and go listen to them. Search for "monitors" in the BBS and the site. BPM Music www.bpmmusic.com has the Event 20/20P active monitors for $489 with free shipping (click on Mixers/Recorders/Processors). These are near-field monitors, so you don't have to be in a big room to hear them properly.
