Looking at drum mics...
Does anyone have experience with Apex mics? I can't find a ton of information on them. A local shop sells them fairly cheap (and Shure fairly...expensive). I'm the process of eventually buying mics and whatnot, but not right away. I don't need pro sound quality, I'm not very picky, just something better than my Radio Shack mics and Shure PG48. Thoughts?

ok wellll i im from windsor if you know where that is in ontario, and basically the only good music store is long & mcquade, and the cheap line they carry is apex. i was looking to get 3 tom mics with clips and i was looking at some audio technica mics but they didnt include drum clips, so i went with 3 apex 126's, which i got with 3 20' yorkville cables for about $300 CDN . i think they were well worth it and have excellent value considering they are about 65 bucks each. the sound is nothing special but its not terrible. i also rented an apex kick mic once for a live show and it sounded fine but for recording it sucked.
