drum muting/quite
how should i go about makeing my drums not as loud for ears and amps sake without loosing sound quality im trying out a kind of rubber mat that i place over it but the noice is very dull and flat also even though this is a crappy set i have is there a way i can get it to be deeper but not slappy?

Try moon gels......... they tend to work well.

on all of the head or just were the stick hits, on the resident head also, how many layers and finally, cymballs too?
