Fed up with Drumkit From Hell 2

I have been trying to use Drumkit From Hell with my protools LE setup.

i have 1Gig of RAM in a 2.5 P4 computer and i cant even open up a simple drum configuration without either skipping and/or crashing protools...etc. I cant even edit the sounds when it is open as a plugin or it will crash PT instantly.

is there a less computer resource intensive program than DFH2 out there that sounds really good for alternative rock?

thanks

manning1 is on a distinguished road
i dont know if this will be to your liking, but sometimes i use the free hotstepper to build drum tracks. all you need are high quality samples from a drum sample cd(eg clearmountain) or rent a bunch of drum machines
and record one shot samples. you can even tune samples.
then having built your drum track in hotstepper , just import as a track into pro tools. there are also many other ways if your open minded using midi.
just ask and i'll provide further info.
also if you post FULL details on your pc confign i'll try and suggest areas of optimisation to help you. if you are getting stuttering etc check your
dma is enabled in device mgr on your hard drive(s). this assumes your using a pc and not mac.

I use fruity loops and just got some good on shot tracks. Works great! betamonkey also has some usable samples....
