What is the best soundcard I can buy to use with CUBASE SX 2.0? CHEAP PLEASE.

I second the Audiophile 2496 (second link above). Great card, good sound, and now the can be had for around $100. You won't find anything too much cheaper with the same quality, and it should work great with Cubase.

If you want something a little different that has a breakout box, you can get an Aardvark q10 for around 500 on ebay these days. I love them.

I use the Audiophile 2496 on my Mac G4 with Cubase SL - no problems since buying it over a year ago.

I've been looking a lot at the EMU cards lately...
http://www.emu.com they hav al sorts of in- and outputs (even ADAT lightpipe...) Creative has bought the company and is selling them in the 'creative professional line'
