Delta 1010LT & Cubase SE Help

Okay, I've got my 1010LT hooked up, got a mic hooked directly to the xlr input and have got nothing. I'm new to computer recording, but not computers.

Is there a setting on the patchbay or on cubase or something? The sound card is working since I can listen to audio on it, just can't get any to come through on my Cubase software. I gotta get this thing working or my wife will kill me

HELP!!!!

In Cubase on the track that you have the mic directed to make sure you have the monitor button enabled (search cubase help). Also try record enabling the track. Then open the Mixer in Cubase and make sure that you have the volume turned up and that you have the output of that track set to your soundcard.

It could be anywhere that the signal is not getting through. Try the above.

It's not even showing a signal in my M-Audio Control Panel.

I personally don't own that interface but I would check to see if your Mic requires phantom power. More than likely there's a mute button engaged in your control panel. How do you have all your in's and out's configured?

Does this mic work in other applications?

What sort of mic is it?

Have you had a look at the Patchbay/router section of the Maudio control panel?

and if so,

What is the input set to?

And what is the output set to?

Also in cubase what are those inputs/outputs set to?

Cheers
J mac
