EQing With BossBR1600

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new and just learning about eq and the Boss functions.

This has a 3 band parametric eq. It has peak and shelving.The low goes up to 800Hz, the middle to 4000 Hz, and the high to 16,000 Hz.

Am I correct in assuming that on this type of eq setup, you cannot change each frequency, but that for instance, if you tweak one of the middle frequencies that it will affect all the middle frequencies the same?

When you press EQ and a track button, you only EQ the track that is selected. If you want to have the same EQ on a group tracks, like a pair of stereo tracks, than you select the tracks by pressing the buttons at the same time.

Thanks! Btw your screen name," 72 Fender" just happens to be my favorite guitar. I am looking to buy a 72 Fender in the spring. I'm assuming that's what you play.

Yes, my '72 Strat was the first guitar I ever brought. I got it new for $350 and still have it. I used it and my '66 Jazzmaster on Snapper Mitchum's "Born in the Ghetto" album and on sessions with the late Lefty Dizz and other Chicago bluesmen.

I played in blues clubs for many years while living out in the SF Bay and Oakland, CA area. Had a Strat for exactly one day(wanted to play like Hendrix and brought it back to the shop. It was too heavy, and the neck was too wide for my thin hands. For some reason, my 13 year old son has become enamored with getting a 72 Telecaster. So as a good daddy I will do my best to find one. An old Gibson SG sounds good too.

We are currently using a tricked out Memphis electric (having recently sold my Kramer.) and a 63 Gibson 12-string, for all recording work.

Even though I have reluctantly moved away from analog and into digital, and am using synths, I still enjoy talking about guitars.
