looping

Hi guys - I'd like to do a little "looping" - type composition but not sure
where to start for a concept/direction. I mainly associate this kind of
thing w techno loops, sampling, stuff like that & as a guitarist I never
paid much attention to it. But it wd be nice to record some sounds
& see what happens in this style of composition. Any ideas or resources on
where to begin? Thanks

i don't understand your question. are you looking for sampling hardware, sampling software, sample CDs, or just good music to sample?

Thanks for the reply. None of those - I'm a songwriter just not sure where to get started in a new (to me) form of composing. I'm just looking for direction in how to compose using loops. Is it mostly just random experimentation?
