Is this a phase problem?

I've got this demo track that I recorded for a guy who is going to a guitar school. It's really simple, just him on guitar and then another guy who did the drums and bass. To my ear it sounds like I've got some phase problems between the two overhead mics on the drums, but I could be way off. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? They don't necessarily have to be about the drums, they can be about any aspect of it. Thanks!

PS: I'm not just wild about the guy's guitar tone, but that's what he wanted so that's what he got. And yes, I am aware that the drums are panned from the drummer's perspective, not the audience. That's intentional in this case

It's hard to get past the guitar sounding like monkey ass. But as you already pointed out...that's what he wants.
If he was looking for the monkey ass tone, he found it.

But on a side note you did a good job on drums and a great job on bass. (two thumbs up on bass guitar)
I think you already answered your own question about the drum phasing issue.
Yes the overheads are the problem.

Hmmm...monkey ass tone...I'll have to remember that title! Yeah, the guy was determined to use his little Marshall solid-state ministack, even though I had a Tech21 Trademark amp (very nice sounding) and a Peavey tube amp available. The guitar is actually recorded direct, because after testing we found that the tone had exactly the same suck factor whether mic'ed or direct.

The drums were actually not that hard, because thankfully the drummer really knew how to tune a kit...it sounded really damn good right from the get-go.

Bass was recorded direct as well, from a Gallien-Kruger (or however you spell it) amp, and I'm really happy with how it came out.

Thanks for the comments and the second opinion on the overheads! My ears have been known to play tricks on me from time to time...must be from too much time in front of those damned loud amps...
