Roland GR-1 and CuBase

Hey gang - I was wondering if anyone has any experience running a GR-1 from Cubase (instead of the GK-2)? I was given a GR-1 (no GK-2) the other day and was hoping to access the tones and patches from CuBase.

In Cubase, I imported a midi file and then tried to assign sounds from the GR-1 to each track - not to successfully I might add.

I was able to get some sounds triggered - but about all I was able to figure out is that I could get some drum sounds on Ch 10...

If anyone could help - It would be much appreciated!!
