Any of you MD8 users have the optional footswitch ?? I found an old on off footswitch that i had from an old amp and it will work for starting the record function but when you push it again it doesn't do anything such as shut it off or pause it .Does the proper footswitch only turn on the record function or does it pause it as well?

If you have the new recording mode on, the footswitch will cycle through like these.
-New Recording (paused)
-New Recording
-Stop

The footswitch you need just makes a connection while your pushing it, then closes the circut when you let your foot off. I'm guessing the one you have works like a toggle and opens the circut until you push it again. I got a pedal at Guitar center for $6 that works great.
