FD160 Questions

I recently purchased a Fostex D160 v.2.13 with a Quantum Fireball 30 gig hard drive...it works great for my purposes - mostly just recording my cover band's live performances.

Anyone know if the hard drive carriage in my unit is readily available? I would like to have another drive and carriage available.

Also, does anyone know a way of transferring data from one drive to another similar drive? Can a PC handle this?

Thanks for your help,
Aris

You can get another caddy online at fostex.com. They are 60$ each, but it is worth having an extra one. As for backup, there are many ays of backing up your data, including to a PC. I am currently looking into the required connections to simiultaneously backup all 16 tracks to a PC HD. I will get back to you with more on this shortly.
