mic for rap vocals

can anyone give me any good mic suggestions to record rap vocals...im currently thinking of getting the studio projects c1...my price limit is $200...thanks

rap vocals are no different than any other. but maybe you might want to try an old shure 545 used if you can find them that the great jh used.
or a shure sm7(expensive). or a cheap cad or mcasp1 if you want it breathy and intimate.
ive recorded several rappers/groups. i would say its more the engineering than the mic.
see if you can tell the mic used on this. its a comical song a lot of folks like

thanks for the advice..i'll be sure to check into those mics...i dont really know too much so i cant recognize what kinda mic you used on that song...but it sounds good...once again thanks for the advice

on that particular song emphatikk if i remember i used one of my modded
radio shack pzm's for lead vocals (doubled) plus some speaker as mics (modded) for guitar plus a higher end akg mic for guitar . plus samples of my dog barking.
and my own do it yourself mic preamps.
i used powertracks for the recording wand some of its built in effects.
