Effects problem with BR1180-CD

When recording subsequent tracks, effects from first track appear on next track and I can't get rid of them by turning off COSM effects or by turning down parameters for loop effects on that track. Also, loop effect reverb appears on recorded tracks without me applying it. Using headphones to monitor. With this problem, I can't have a clean non-effected signal for my subsequent tracks. There is always reverb, delay, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
