Thumbs up Monster PC At A Great Price!

Hi guys. Long time looker first time poster. I've seen a lot of posts with peoples hardware listed and I am currently selling a great system, so I thought I'd drop a link . My apologies if this should not be posted here.

Please take a look, this is a steal.

Thats the furthest thing from a deal I ever done' see!

I could build that very system in the listing without that junk ass 17" 1280x1024 monitor for 1/3 of the price, easily doubling memory and harddrive specs,.. geez
Wana find out how?!?
You can do it too!
learn how @
mIRC.com - make friends, meet wizards, get stuff cheap
pricewatch.com - cheap junk
bizrate.com - meh,.. used4comparrison
ebay.com - might not get screwed if yur lucky

Thats great to hear, but theres no way it would include everything that this comes with, and it is still under warranty. I know custom pcs can be built cheap, I know several people who build their own, but tend to have problems more so than others. Im not trying to turn this into a flame fest and Im not trying to rip anyone off, this was a very expensive setup. I simply thought id inform those who were interested.

heh, the o'so obligatory ignorance claim!
If theyre having 'problems, thats their problem... USER ERROR
but then again, not everyone knows how to work on stuff, so pre-fab's can be ok, you just pay alot more.

Parts bought seperately come with warranties as well, all main stream manufacturers stand behind their hardware for @ the very least, 1 year.
Anyways.. no flame was intended, I myself was just trying to inform people viewing, that for the price of this system, you could build a another that squash's it in the benchmarks.

My point is pre-manufactured PC's are way overpriced, much like apples and digidesign, and if one can,.. build your own, you SHOULDNT have any problems unless you caused them.
thanks- good luck w/ the auction

I build most of my own systems too...but at the price that sold for, 1100 bucks..you certainly couldn't stomp the price. Now, some things would be better/non integrated. But 160gig HD? You would "easily double"?

Right.

Also, what's "crap ass" about the 17" LCD that does 1280x1024?

I've been looking for a couple of weeks for any desktop LCD that will do higher than that, and I haven't found one. Please enlighten me. 350 bucks gets you a comperable LCD...building a comperable system to that Sony for the remaining $850 or so, is certainly doable...but definitely not the easiest thing in the world.

I think it sold for a fair price.

actually, you know what...since you started the whole thing...why not spec a system that beats that one? I just looked over it again...given that he has the 256mb graphics card (granted it is a generation old), and the remote control (so you'll need an IR system of some type), and the video capture front ports etc...

by the time you get an equiv monitor (which i contend won't be better than the Sony...I mean, if it were my system I'd go with a Planar but it's the same size and resolution) - you've got around $825 to deal with.

Lets see it.

Dkor - i said show me a 17" lcd with higher than 1280x1024. All of the models you listed are 20+ inches.

My only point with that was that just becaase that monitor is 17", doesn't make it crap (which is apparently your argument). It's as good as any other 17" out there....so...unless someone is looking for a 20".....

But, if you're saying now you could build the system sans monitor for 600? (if you did half of the total selling point...which was 1200..givig you a few bucks).

I mean, it's irrelevant and I hate to bump a thread in this forum...but, I'd still like to see it

1st off your totally wrong, that disgustingly generalizedl statment about his 17" lcd being as "GOOD" as any other monitor out there is surely ignorance @ its very finest. ,..
You obviouslly dont have a damn clue about displays in the 1st place, and from the looks of it... you wont be able to use a search engine to find out any info.
So Im not even going to reply to this..............
