I have my Yamaha MD4s connected to my 486 computer running Cool Edit 2000, but need to know how I hook everything up for recording from my Yamaha.I connected into the mic of the computer and the stereo out of my Yamaha but did not work.This is what it said in the manual.Please help.

Some soundcards will offer both Mic and AUX. Make sure you're in the AUX, because many Mic inputs are mono. Then make sure your inputs are "enabled" and turned up in Windows (double-click on the speaker in your taskbar). I use an OEM Soundblaster, which has to be "set" as well. Make sure they're both right, or you won't get sound at all.

You can test in real time by enabling the "show levels" in CEP. I think it's F10 or something...
