Cool Edit Pro with Virtual PC

I have a Mac but i can run Windows98 programs via Virtual PC but my RAM and hard drive space for Windows is very limited and my CD burning software is on the Mac side. Would there be a way for me to transfter music from a cassette to CDs using Cool Edit Pro(don't have program yet)though my CD-RW(Que USB 4x4x8) is run by the Mac OS?
