AKG C 2000 B Condenser Mic.... not enough phantom power?

My girlfriend bought me this mic a few months ago and I am only now attempting to use it. The manual says it should be able to use any phantom power, 12, 24 or 48V ?

I am using a Rolls GCi 404 which has 12 V phantom power (connected to my floppy drive). My other mics (audiotechnia DR-VX2) work fine on it, but my AKG doesn't. Ive tried turning the preamp on the rolls all the way up, thinking it just didn't pick up the sound or something. Nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
