mp3 in CEP 1.2

can i work with mp3 in CEP 1.2?
does the mp3 give less quality sound?

As far as I know, there is an Mp3 add-on you can get. It costs more though, not sure how much. I usually just uncompress mp3s to wavs to work on them and then recompress them to mp3s- saves money.
