Mackie Onyx direct outs ?

OK, so I bought a 1620 and I'm reading in the manual you can buy the DB25 connectors or the Firewire output but they're both connected just after the gain but before the EQ & Inserts. Is there anyway to change this? I'm looking to record the EQ settings into my Layla then mixdown/add effects/etc later in Audition. Any help is much appreciated.

Seems I've seen this discussed here before and the answer was no, you can't get around it. Do a search to find other related threads.

yeah no getting around it.. and I think that is WAY LAME. One of the bigger selling points..or at least marketing points are the eq's..and you go pre EQ on the direct out?..makes no sense to me...

most direct outs are pre eq, DO's are supposed to basically be line splitters, copying unprocessed input signal
