I believe the problem is that you have a Creative Labs card. Syntrillium (makers of CEP) say the Creative labs cards work the worst with their software. You would be better off with the generic brand from best buy or something. I used to have an AWE64 that did the same thing. If you check the CEP website and the helpfiles you will see that it is probably your card. I would go spend 20$ on another card.

I have an SB live and when I record with it, the sound is fine except it "farts" every second. Not stuttering, because the sound is continuous, but there is a gross noise at a certain interval. Any thoughts?
