Known 2488 Issues

Hi,

I have a question about experiencing known issues. Are these documented in an FAQ somewhere? I've just bought my 2488 and:

- it has frozen/crashed at least 3 times saying "System Error 2". I can't find any reference to error codes in the manual
- Periodically it gives me an MTR (?) error and sometimes everything locks up when this happens.

Has anyone seen these before?

I would recommend checking with tascamforums.com I recently aquitred a 2488 and have found a wealth of information on that forum. They have a section dedicated to the 2488. Anything you might need to know is there.

where did you purchase the beast? You might want to try taking it in for a checkup. I know a guy with a brand new 2488, under warranty etc....

It sounds really good when it works. But, it's a buggy little gremlin in my own personal opinion.

See if the Music store can be of any help.
