Exclamation Triplesafety.com is a fraud!

Warning:
Triplesafety.com claims to be an Escrow service.
They claim they'll hold your money as a third party until you receive the item from the seller.
Do not send them money!
Do not do any business with them!
They are a fraud.

If you come across a business that doesn't give you their phone number, chances are they are fake.

Please read this site I just made:
http://www.geocities.com/triplefraud

Best Wishes,
Pietro

yo, boingo

Knock it off man! he's giving info that I found helpful and in a relevant forum. You aren't the moderator and you shouldn't be speaking for this board as a whole.

What EXACTLY did they do? I saw their site and it does look a little weak(fake) like a facade with no building behind it, but thats not reason enough for me to deny them business. Well it is reason enough for ME but I think most folks would like to know your EXPERIENCE with them not just your accusation. An accusation does not denote guilt in my book. Tell me your story.

Sorry, didn't have my coffee.
Usually I just say hey, people might get angry if you post things in more than one place.
I usually don't post answers to questions posted in more than one place because someone else might be posting the same answer elsewhere, or have different info that I might want, like what happened to you, and I gotta go searching around all the threads for it. It's a waste of time. Posting one thread and bumping it till it gets a response seems to make more sense.
That's what irritated me.
Also, your site basically just repeats your post, there isn't a link to the supposed scammers so I can check them out, so I gotta look for them myself, and you didn't tell us what happened!

I submit that you may have a thing or two to learn about controlling people's behavior yourself. Drink your own medicine before you pour a cup for someone else.
It's not about moderating, and I never claimed to speak for the board as a whole. My irritation was purely my own. I may not have expressed myself fully, but what business is it of yours? pietro and I seem capable of working things out on our own. People want to ignore the rules? Go ahead. Couldn't care less. Not my site, and spammers and crossposters have provided much entertainment in the past.

The scoop

Let me start by saying that I was too trusting and very foolish.

TripleSafety.com claimed to be affiliated with escrow.com. They took my money via western union to hold it while I received a computer that I purchased on ebay. After I sent the money, I never heard back, or received a computer, form the seller or TripleSafety.com

MISTAKE 1: Paying someone I don't know via western union. Western Union dished out money on command and cannot trace those who pick it up. Only use W.Union to send money to those you know.

MISTAKE 2: TripleSafety.com provides no phone number...how stupid was I? You tell me.

MISTAKE 3: I never cross-referenced TripleSafety. If I did, I would have found on escrow that escrow isn't affiliated with anyone! Escrow provides a description of fraudds, and TripleSafety.com fits the whole description. Darn it.

I called the seller, with contact information provided by ebay, and the seller claimed he didn't set up the post. He just logged in one day and found out he had apparently sold a computer. So, probably--unless he's lying--, the seller's account was hacked into to set up a fake post.

Moral of the story:
1. Cross reference who you give money to. Do you have enough (varified) info to get hold of them if they bail out? Do they get good reviews (from LEGIT reviewers)?
2. Don't pay with Western Union. Pay with something traceable...and possibley someone who will reimberce you if something goes wrong (ie- some credit cards)
3. Visual inspection...if you're dealing with a company, does the website LOOK professional?
4. Is the email provided a "free" email account...like hotmail?

Good luck,
email me if you have questions.

ps- please don't chop off my head, I've lost enough money as it is...

Thats why when you buy, you ONLY use PayPal.

And when you sell, you ONLY take money orders. (fuck that PayPal fee for recieving funds lol)

And if you are the buyer and want something from a seller that only takes money order, then say FUCK OFF YOU PIG SHIT LICKER! and slowly walk away and keep looking for another.

And another thing, make sure you call them first if we are talking a good deal of money. Also if you do send a money order, only do it to a phisycal address. No PO Boxes. The reason is because if someone wants to rip me off then that persons home (or who ever associates with that scum) is going to regret it.
