tascam us-122 and sound forge

i'm trying to set the 122 as playback output in sound forge's options-preferences-wave menu, but it doesn't work. the options for microsoft mapper and ess maestro (laptop) both work.
i can use the 122 as a record device, but i have to switch the headphones to the laptop in order to hear something acceptable (laptop's speakers aren't any good).

any ideas?

i found the answer in another thread.
i had to set playback and recording to the us-122 in the "sounds and multimedia properties" menu (control panel or volume in the task bar).
it is not enough to set it in sound forge, it needs to be set in both places.
thanks.

for all those having problems with the us-122, i can say that is a good device, i have used all its features and they have worked well, but sometimes it takes time to set it right, at least for a not-an-expert like me.
