US-428 & Pod XT

Quick question:
The Pod XT has 2 stereo TRS outputs (left and right). I want to record both channels so I get a true stereo sound. Do I need to connect each output on the Pod to a different input channel on the 428? And if so, should I use the balanced A&B, or the unbalanced C&D inputs? Also, if the Pod requires 2 inputs on the US428, do you reccomend putting guitar left and right on 2 separate tracks, or combining them in one track.

Thanks

rpc9943 can only hope to improve
Hook her in to balanced A/B and pan them both left and right

when you record, it'll combine those two anyways if you do it stereo
