Red face Looking for good pure bass synth sound software

I'm having trouble with some mixing in the bass area. Everything else seems to mix fine, but the bass and guitar are not sounding well together. I do have some sequencing software "fruity Loops" and I'm just looking for good smooth tone. I've tried playing different octaves and equing and it just isn't working. My bass sounds good in other songs, but this one seems muddy no matter what level or octave.

clear bass

dear dantell

if it's an issue between guitar and bass, and the guitars are big overdriven jobs, then try rolling some low end off the guitar channels, let the bass have a bit of space in that low mid range.

good compressor on the bass with a bit of upper mid boost (just to give a bit more clarity on the bass pluck)

if that doesn't work - two of my current favourites for bass are YellowTools Majestic (electric bass v-instrument) or for more dancy stuff, i really like both absynth v2 and albino.

just some thoughts

have fun and good luck

best regs
