Series 10 question?

Hello,
I have series 10 that has an XK-120 humbucker and 2 XK-110 single coil pickups. I believe these are from a the Kaman guitar line. The body of the guitar is by Bently, yeah a lower line guitar, but the sound I get out of this guitar is better than my other Series 10 which just has, I guess, the pickups it came with. I just wanted to hear some input on the XK pickups because I like the punk/metal tone they get out of the Metal Zone pedal by Boss that I use. My question is really what other higher quality guitar should I upgrade to without changing the sound a whole lot, but enhancing it. I have heard a BC Rich warlock NJ model and it is pretty close to the sound I am looking for, but how do the newer models sound differ from the NJ model other than just having a Rose bridge. Should I spend more for a NJ model or go with a new warlock?
