FX Send on Behringer UB802

You know - FX Send/Aux Send, and Aux return... Can someone please thoroughly explain how this thing works, and how can there be only one mono fx send output, but it says that there's one 'fx send' FOR EACH input. I can't really understand from manual. Here's the picture of the device.

It's basicly an effects loop with the ability to have a stereo return.
Looks as though there is just the one loop, yet all channels have access to it via the FX knob.
I see it as a single glorified Aux Send.
Two links for some reading on mixers ....
Mixed Signals
Typical Mixer Manual
