Angry Suddenly can't record

I have a problem thats driving me nuts. I use cakewalk HS 2004. Suddenly I can't record. SOund is coming through my soundcard, but it can't be recorded. The track monitor registers nothing! Though I can clearly hear sound when I play.

I guess the problem lay somewhere between the soundcard and the software? I can't imagine what it can be.

Is there any way to troubleshoot this? Anyone who can help would would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

What do you have selected as the recording option in your Windows mixer (or sound card's mixing applet if it came with one)??

Are you sound card's drivers correctly listed in OPTIONS-AUDIO under the 'Playback and Recording Timing Master' and are they highlighted for operation under OPTION-AUDIO-DRIVERS?

Q.

Are you using any "special characters" in the tracknames?

As Moskus is, "The Creator of Æ, Ø and Å", he doesn't like it when you use his special characters in your tracknames and will ensure your Sonar does not record or playback correctly until they are removed.
