a few jaguar questions

i have a '97 mij jaguar. i'm having trouble getting this guitar to sound good lately. it been in its case for months (with strings) and it gets a lot of fret buzz. i was also getting frets that just wouldn't sound, so i'm guessing it needs a neck adjustment (well, i KNOW it needs one). but i cant figure out how to do that. the neck is bolt on, and the best i can tell, the truss rod is on the bottom of the neck. but the screw is partially covered by the body. how do i make this neck adjustment without taking the neck completely off the guitar? if that is what i need to do, don't i need string tension to make a proper adjustment?

also, i was wondering if i could put some strat-style pick ups in it with out too much trouble. the electronics on a jag are a bit more complicated with the top and bottom controls.

anyway, hope you guys can help. thanks in advance.

-=¤willhaven¤=- will become famous soon enough
as far as i know youve got to remove the neck to make truss rod adjustments

or at least de-string and loosen the neck enough to get to the adjustment screw
