Exclamation CEP 2.0 Backup?

Hey, I need help!
Hours and hours I have worked.
The computer is such a beauty, had it less than a year.
There is a major problem, and it needs to go into the shop and I'm told it will take a week!!

Does anyone know if there is a way to backup all of my sweat and tears on Cool Edit Pro 2.0??? I've got plenty o' disks, just need some direction.

if you mean that, then will you tell me how....i'm still lost...teehee

Burn a data disc and put the whole folder of songs (if the disc is big enough on the CDR as data. CEP will be able to call it all back up as sessions off the disc.

If your song folder is too large, break it up into parts and put it on several discs. CDRs are cheap.

I did hard disc formatting a few months ago.
Burned all my CEP folders to seven CDR-s before that.
After, I just put them back where they have been.
CEP never said a word. Everything worked.

Last week I made a little 2 PCs -network at my home and played my sessions
on a new computer by calling them from the old one.
Worked just fine.

So, don't worry. Be happy!

backup custom presets too

FYI,

You may want to backup any custom presets you have made for DX plugins and keyborad shortcuts too... The location of the file depends on the OS you're running. In WIN2K for instance, the files are found in c:\Documents and Settings\*profilename*\Application Data\Syntrillium\Cool Edit Pro\2.00. Just backup the whole "2.00" folder. Inside the folder, the text file named "COOL" has all the custom preset data. Keyboard shortcuts are saved in the registry. It's also a good idea to backup any/all plugins you have downloaded... Good luck!
