mic directly to my PC

hey, im new to this recording thing. i don't wanna spend more than $100.
i was lookin' for something that could connect to my PC directly.
cuz i know if i have to get a pre-amp, its gon' be around $200.
any1 has any suggestions?
ps: im recording vocals only, no instruments.

a shure sm58 perhaps. it costs $100. you might need a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter a cable and a mic stand is extra money.

sm58?? can i do the same thing with sm57? cuz ive heard 57 is better.
and doesn't the mic already have a cable w/ it?
