High volume gains from TS-10 to computer

Hello,
I have an Ensoniq TS-10 and Ive been trying to record from it to my
computer. I'm using Sonic Foundry Vegas and I have a Creative Sound Baster
Audigy Live drive. I even have a direct box too. My problem is I get a
really high volume distorted sound when recording and when playing back,
Almost as if I have my volume levels way too high. Well, I don't, and I
have the mic boost turned off as well. I've tried every way possible from
Line in to mic. to aux. to MIDI. Nothing works. I moved my sound card away
from the video card incase of interference and I've even disconnected the
live drive and used straight sound card.
I just don't understand why it is happening. Help
Thanks

Don't have a Sound Blaster, so this may not apply or you may have already tried it. Is there a control panel for your Sound Blaster.... I have one for my audio card. On it, there are controls for input level and gain. Also, (I use Vegas 2.0 as I only use it for audio), there is an input gain slider.... the default is set to -3 dBs..... you might try that too.

Good luck solving this.
