Metronome shmetronome

Hi,

I'm using CoolEdit 2 Pro to record a guitar part with the metronome enabled. According to the help file and posts I've found the metronome should be removed when mixing down, but it's still there...
I've mixed down and played it in windows media player and sure enough the metronome click is there.
I don't want to resort to using the metronome on my keyboard or not using one at all.
If anyone's got any ideas about what's causing this I'd love to hear them,

Thanks.

Have you tried turning the metronome off before mixing down?

In the toolbars on top of the screen, click hide/show session info.

Hi,
Yeah I've tried mixing down with metronome turned off. Still getting the same problem.

Ah, probably me being a complete newbie - I've turned down the volume for 'What U Hear' in the system Sound Recording Volume options and don't get the metronome any more. Sweet.
Thanks for your quick reply though.

Any time you use "What you hear" you are recording.... what you hear - probably including all previous tracks you've recorded. Mute it / deselect it.

Right, you should have only the "line in" selected as your recording source if you're recording from your soundcard's line input.
