Problem with installing a new CDR in Masterlink...

I have installed a new CDR in the Masterlink because the old one failed. The old one was a Panasonic and the new one Alesis sent me is the new Sony model that are installed in the newer Masterlinks. They also sent me a new EPROM chip which I installed also. It seems to boot up fine until I get a message that says"SYSTEM WARNING CDR unknown".
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

I *think* the Sony drive requires the 2.18 firmware - You up to date?
