My small studio in the corner pics.

I have been lurking around for a while and finally have the studio somewhat presentable so here are the pics. There are two small ISO booths on the one end that I didn't get pics of because the camera batteries died.

Not bad, what are the dimensions of the room?

My plan was based on this design. It actually turned out that my room was about 12' x 22' so some rooms were made larger like the ISO booths and the CR was made a little smaller.

Looks nice. I like the space design (assuming you are following the floorplan somewhat). Is there enough room in the drum room to setup other musicians as well? Are you planning to do any acoustic treatment or are you happy with the way things sound right now?

Keep you updates coming. It is great to see how these things come together.

Cheers,
Darryl.....

Do I need treatment ?

I did follow the floor plan give or take a foot or two on the rooms. There is room in the drum room for one other musician. I have actually been using that room to test recording my acoustic and the results have been great using a 603. As far as acoustic treatment I really have not found a need for it. The drum room really turned out to be a solid room. There is two layers of 5/8 on the ceiling and two of the walls.. The remaining walls have 1/2 drywall - rigid insulation - concrete block. I'm not really convinced that I don't need some sort of treatment but I guess I really don't know what to listen for. Any suggestions ?

Just curious, how good is your isolation between the two rooms, Maestro?

And the window, is it dual pane? What glass?

Cool monitors BTW. I have the same ones. Maybe it's a Maestro thing, I dunno. . .

I haven't been able to test the isolation yet. I'm still waiting for the other solid core door for the other side of the double wall. I'm also waiting on glass to be cut. I will be using 2 1/4 pieces on one side and one 1/4 piece on the other. The isolation from the rest of the house has been great. I have recorded drums in there just for a test and my wife didn't even know and she was watching a movie upstairs directly above the drum room. The ceiling is a three leaf system but it has turned out to work ok. It's 2 layers of 5/8 drywall , metal furring strips , 1/2 drywall , insulation - 2 x 8 , hardwood floor. Agreed on the monitors.
