Alesis Data Disk Problem - Home Recording

Alesis Data Disk Problem

I read a message on here that i could change the floppy drive in my data disk. I have replace it with a Mitsumi D359M3D which was recomended would work. When i format the disk just get disk unreadable, can anyone help please?
