Painting it won't solve a thing!

Ok. I've got a rehearsal room that is 8m x 3m (and 5m and 4m high, It's a slanted roof) and the walls look ugly (they're stone and render walls with beams and rough brick work ceiling (it's a spanish barn) and painting it won't solve a thing!) and i was wondering if there was a cheep way to make it look nice and sound good! Any suggestions?

You want to paint over stonework? How about just hanging some nice fabric-covered insulation panels instead?

I wasn't thinking of painting the stone walls, that why i said painting won't solve a thing! But yes that sounds like a good idea! Are they expensive?
