mono playback

What is the best way to playback a stereo wave in mono to listen for phase cancelation.
I mixes down a song and it sounds great in stereo but sucks in mono.

Thanks
Tim

You should be able to click on the "out" button to the left of the track and send both channels to (for example) 1L for mono playback.

It's a pity that there is no overall "mono" button in Audition for doing the checking you describe. If you are using AA1.5 or have a VST wrapper, the freeeware VST effect "C_Superstereo" is a handy tool for checking mono/stereo compatibility etc.

Don't most people do a mixdown in mono? It takes 30 or 40 seconds to create the mixdown, but you don't check a mono mix that often, right?
