I think I am more looking for: the white cable goes to the outermost post, red goes to inner most (on female TRS)...that kind fo stuff.

Actually, that doesn't matter, as long as you wire all the cables consistently. Meaning on both ends and from cable to cable.
There's a great book on this subject published by Yamaha called the "Sound Reinforcement Handbook". This is a great book for anyone with a studio to own. It has detailed descriptions with photos of making cables, plus diagrams of the internal wiring on cables. Very useful, and the book I've used as my guide in making cables. Worth every penny. |
