motu 828 - ehm .. there's no "windows mixer" anymore

ok;.. so i finally received my Motu 828 ,
installed it, i can playback audio, can record in stereo,

but this week i started to set up everything for a multitrack recording,
and i just can't find how i can do that with this Motu

first i thought my software didn't recognize the motu, but it does,
got the same problem in Cubase sx and Samplitude

i can record input 1+2

and thats all

how come i can't select the other inputs, and is it normal that there is no "windows mixer" in my tascbar ?
i also can't open the advanced options of the recording or playback device

is there anything wrong with my soundcard, or drivers, or ... is it all me ?

its seems like my audio apps think that my soundcard only has 2 mono inputs (or one stereo)

any help would be appreciated !

regards,
earworm

I'm not sure if you already did this....but Cubase deosn't setup the in's/out's by itself. You need to define them....so if Cuibase does see the MOTU, just press F4(if you're on PC.....I'm not sure about the Mac) and that should bring up the VST Connections window up. If not, just goto Devices > VST Connections. And then add all your busses and select the corresponding in/out's.

Hope that helps.
