My Studio Project

Rebuilt an old Sound Workshop Console and built a control room for it.
Upgraded from 8-track one room studio to 16-track two room studio.
10'X12 control room and 12'X20' Band room. Lots of stuff left to do but
it's useable at this point. 16 tracks of Adat. Moto 828MKII with Digital
Performer and for the old school stuff Otari 1/2" 8-Track reel to reel.
Have a look. Suggestions for treating the control room most welcome.

Wow! What a project. The desk was looking pretty shakey before you started. Great job. Hope it gives you many hours of fun.

Thumbs up

I'm VERY impressed! Great job on the desk. I'm starting some research into re-cap/upgrading mine (Tascam M 3500).
Looking good.

Max, you are a lunatic! Great work. Best of luck. Whatever sounds you get out of that console, no one will ever pay you what they're worth.-Richie

Well, I posted the above message on several recording type forums and
got more hit from this forum than all the others combined. You guys Rock.
Damn near as many hits as views of this thread. I'm starting a new project
to archive my home recordings going back to the 70's. I will have to bake
my tapes first. I'm building a rack of Teac that I call Rackosaurus.
It's 6'2" and will be mostly full when complete. Hmm, maybe I am a lunatic.
