How to Store Mic Cables???

Hey guys,
I was just wondering what the consensus is, on the best way to store mic cables when not in use, . .should I wrap them up and secure with a rip-tie, or hang them 'long ways' on a hook on the wall. . ?

I think coiling them is the preferred method. But there's a right way to do it, called over-under.

I'd think if you hung them on a hook, this would tend to bend the cable in about the same place each time, eventually breaking a conductor.
