capnreverb is on a distinguished road
At 3525

I have a couple of these that I bought new about 4 years or so ago. I see that on ebay they do not even hold half the value of what I paid for them. I think they are pretty nice mics, for the price, but certainly not my best. They seem to need a lot of gain for them to really come alive. The questions that I have are:
1. How do they compare to 3035's?
2. Since my at4033's are considered medium diameter condensors, and these are even smaller (at least by eyeballin' them in the light), are these considered SDC?
3. What are you guys opinion on them and what have you found success with them on?

Also, as a side question, do you think a used 4033 is more than a hundred dollars better than a used NT1? (based on ebay prices) I have both, and think they are both good mics (for the price of course).

I had the opprtunity to buy a couple of these buy I went with an AT3035 on ebay, I guess they havn't held they're value because they're discontinued and the 3035 has better signal to noise ratio, better dynamic range, extended low response, higher max spl, runs at a range of phantom voltages, MUCH better sensitivity. The sensitivity of the 3525 is more like a dynamic mic.

That's why i went with the 3035
