Tell us a bit about your equipment and then maybe someone can help.

Sounds like a computer related issue. Post your computer specs. Also, is your computer streamlined for audio? Do youhave two hard drives? Do you defrag regularly? Latest driver for your soundcard?
All these answers will help us here. |

Without knowing a bit more about your computer, it will be next to impossible to help you because in situations like yours, I usually start with the hardware and troubleshoot. To me it sounds like a computer issue.
So you don't know the speed of your computer, how much RAM you have, or if you have two hard drives? |

to me it sounds like your Prosessor and Memory are way to low and the noice you are hearing is your PC going "aaarrrrr fooking pack it in, give me a brake man!! aaarrrrr!"
also what windows are you useing as i have heard anything bellow M2000 and XP is not a steady platform...whihc is why MAC took over the race. try.. my computer > view systum info....and a box should come up that tells you ..your systum specs...if your PC is around 4 years old...my guess is its not strong enough.
